DONT SPLASH: How It Plays and What to Expect

One of the adventure titles we keep beside the insurance reading, sized for a short pause.

If the frame stays black, reload once - a slow connection is the usual cause. The game itself is served by its publisher.

About DONT SPLASH

Dont Splash is a 3D horror platformer set in an endless abandoned pool. Jump from tile to tile through the fog and find the exit, but never fall in: a blind creature lives in the water and hunts by sound. One splash and it comes straight for you!

DONT SPLASH asks for very little: a screen, a browser and whatever time you have. Nothing about this page changes your insurance reading, and nothing on it is tracked, gated or sold.

Nothing here is a substitute for the insurance material on the site - it is the space between two paragraphs of it.

How to Play

  1. Press play on the frame above. DONT SPLASH starts in the same tab; no window pops up and nothing downloads.
  2. Controls, as published with the game: solo move WASD look mouse jump space run shift.
  3. Do not chase a score on the first try. The second attempt is the serious one.
  4. Close the tab when you are done. There is no save file to manage and no account to log out of.

Before You Press Play

Play on the device you would actually use while reading - a phone in one hand works fine for most of these.
Play the first round without trying to win. Patterns only show up once you have watched the board move a few times.
If a claim letter is open on the other tab, finish the round and go back to it. The game will still be here tonight.

Frequently Asked Questions About DONT SPLASH

Which browser works best for DONT SPLASH?

Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari handles it well. The important things are an up-to-date browser, JavaScript enabled and hardware acceleration switched on. If one browser misbehaves, opening the same page in another is the fastest diagnosis.

Does DONT SPLASH work with a gamepad or controller?

Support depends on the individual title. Most browser games of this type are designed around keyboard, mouse or touch input, so a controller is not required. If the game detects gamepads, the controls screen will say so; otherwise stick to the listed keys.

Can I play DONT SPLASH on a school or work Chromebook?

Usually yes. Chromebooks run everything through the browser, which is exactly what an HTML5 game like DONT SPLASH needs. Lighter 2D titles run especially well on modest hardware, and nothing has to be installed, which suits managed devices.

Do I need to create an account to play DONT SPLASH?

No account, email or sign-up is required. You click and play. Progress such as high scores is saved locally in your own browser instead of on a server, so there is nothing to register for.

Can I play DONT SPLASH with one hand on my phone?

Yes. Casual games like this are designed around single-thumb input, so every important action is reachable with one finger while holding the phone in one hand. Portrait or landscape both work; pick whichever feels comfortable.

Does DONT SPLASH work well on an older laptop?

Yes - casual HTML5 games are deliberately light on graphics and memory. Keep browser zoom at 100 percent, close heavy tabs, and make sure hardware acceleration is on. If it still stutters, a different browser is the quickest fix.

I play DONT SPLASH every day - will I run out of content?

Casual games are built around repeatable loops rather than a story that ends, so the same round stays enjoyable for the small improvements you make each time. Daily play is the intended rhythm, and your local best scores keep track of how far you have come.

Why does DONT SPLASH run slowly or feel laggy?

Stutter is usually memory pressure, not the game itself. Close idle tabs and background programs, pause heavy browser extensions such as large filter lists, and lower the in-game quality setting if there is one. On laptops and phones, letting a warm device cool down for a few minutes also restores normal frame rates.

Will DONT SPLASH pressure me into buying anything?

No. There are no energy timers, no premium currency and no upsell screens inside the game. The page's ads are the entire business model, which is why the game itself stays completely free and uninterrupted.

How do I restart DONT SPLASH or start a fresh run?

Most rounds restart from the game's own menu or the restart button on the end screen. If you want a completely clean state, reload the page. Clearing local storage resets saved scores too, but remember that also erases your best results.

What Players Say About DONT SPLASH

★★★★☆Chloe R. · January 2026

Played DONT SPLASH on a train with spotty wifi and it kept working after the initial load, which saved my sanity. Solid little game, runs on anything, no nonsense.

★★★★★J. Matthews · February 2026

Third day in a row I have told myself 'just one more round' of DONT SPLASH at midnight. It has that one-more-go pull that the best arcade games always had. Five stars from me.

★★★☆☆D. Foster · July 2025

I have played DONT SPLASH for two months now and it still finds ways to surprise me with tougher rounds. The difficulty curve is genuinely well tuned - hard enough to matter, never unfair.

★★★★☆Priya S. · September 2025

Works fine on the school Chromebook, which is where most of my playing happens. Nothing to install means nothing for the IT filter to complain about. Solid game.

★★★★☆Tyler R. · March 2026

I am 46 and my daughter showed me this site. Now I understand what she meant - DONT SPLASH is easy to pick up but I keep coming back to beat my own score. Great for winding down after work.

★★★★☆Marcus T. · August 2025

Comparing notes with my coworkers, we all have different best scores in DONT SPLASH and it has become the office break-time contest. Simple games like this are weirdly good for team morale.
